The whole MedicX team including our architects and surveyors, bring a comprehensive spread of healthcare building experience to each project. We favour using suitably qualified local contractors – thus supporting the local community and keeping the carbon footprint to a minimum.
All of our buildings are flexible, allowing them to be adapted as the NHS requirements change. We understand the importance of delivering buildings that have minimum maintenance cost and are economic to operate. By “designing in” an intelligent and flexible use of space together with maximising the potential for including other stakeholders, we strive to deliver buildings that truly achieve
affordability and value for money for the practice and the PCT or Health Board for the long-term.
The demands on the National Health Service and the role of primary care within it, is constantly evolving – our buildings have to be designed to be flexible to cope with these changes and increases in the scope of primary healthcare delivery. We will involve GPs and PCTs or Health Boards in all discussions relating to the inclusion of other stakeholders – such as pharmacy, dentists and diagnostics. They will only be included with the approval of the GPs. We work closely with PCTs and Health Boards together with other external providers, ensuring that future changes in healthcare pathways can be accommodated within the building. Our in-house healthcare planning team will discuss your own demographic predictions in detail.
