Simone Marshall
How long have you worked at MedicX?
I joined November 2010 so it will be almost a year! When I say it like that, it illustrates how time has flown by so fast!
In one sentence – what do you do at MedicX?
I form part of the Property Management/ Asset Management team, dealing with service charges, taking care of tenants queries and buildings maintenance.
Which MedicX value describes you best?
Proactive; I certainly take an active approach when it comes to delivering a number of targets. I thrive on problem solving and tackling the challenges that our department is faced with.
What is the best aspect of your job?
The satisfaction I get from delivering a great property management service which ultimately leaves our tenants feeling valued and their needs cared for.
Where is your favourite holiday destination?
I am always flying off somewhere nice; this year it was Lapland, Egypt and probably Tunisia for Christmas. But the best holidays are sometimes the simplest and nothing really beats visiting the many beautiful places we have in the UK. We definitely have some of the most dramatically stunning landscapes I have ever seen!
Who is your role model?
My Nan. With her sincere kindness and wonderfully warm heart she wins hands down.
Tell us a bit about you outside of work..
Each year I try to get involved with charity work. Last year I ran a 10k for Richmond Crossroads and organised the Red Nose Day events @ MedicX which raised over £500. This year I completed a Race for Life for CHASE and the MedicX Three Peaks Challenge, and I am hoping to complete the London Marathon next year. Other than that, I take great pleasure in clay shooting competitions, I adore food and cookery and long leisurely weekend walks.
What one item would you take with you to a desert island?
If I said a speed boat would that be cheating…? Ok ok, how about a book on ‘how to survive on a desert island’…
