Nottingham City Primary Care Trust
Farndon Green Medical Centre were practising in a converted house and required larger and more up to date facilities to serve the local community. When they contacted MedicX, the doctors had already identified a preferred site – it took MedicX two years of perseverance through numerous meetings and negotiations with all the relevant stakeholders, adjacent property owners and the city council who owned the site, before successfully obtaining planning permission.
Particular attention has been paid to ensure that there is a bright and welcoming reception area, together with a policy of simple way finding, which is of particular importance to the elderly.
Throughout the building works, MedicX and our contractor worked closely with the neighbouring community centre to ensure that they were not inconvenienced and were kept regularly updated. MedicX appreciated the excellent relationship with the community centre throughout the whole process.

Wollaton Park Medical Centre now provides a comprehensive range of facilities including, minor operations, district nursing team, on site pharmacy and student training facilities.
