Marisco
Mablethorpe
Dr Carter and Partners
Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust
The Marisco Medical Centre is based in Mablethorpe, a popular east coast holiday location. Their patient list is 11,000 rising to 20,000 in the holiday season. The doctors were operating in restrictive and unsuitable premises that were limiting the facilities that they wished to offer.
After being appointed MedicX acquired a site from the local authority that had been previously identified as ideal by the doctors. The site had been a large caravan and mobile home location.

In the design of the new building, MedicX have addressed local issues such as flood risk levels and poor ground. The new surgery accommodates the high level of summer patients and provide an increase in patient services including a pharmacy, fully equipped minor operations suite, dentistry, podiatry and ambulance station, serving both the local community and holiday makers in a high quality, modern, light, airy and patient friendly environment.
The development in Mablethorpe, completed in 2006, is now a real asset to the town and surrounding area.
