Gosberton
Lincolnshire
Dr Brookes and Dr Wiscombe
East Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust
Located in a converted house, Gosberton surgery were desperate for new premises, as the existing surgery did not comply with statutory regulations and only had a small car park which resulted in the nearby road being congested at peak times.
MedicX identified a site which was outside the village boundary but only 225 metres from the existing surgery. After much discussion with the village, MedicX bought the land from a local farmer.
MedicX recognise that a new medical centre is always an important part of the local community and therefore arranged a public consultation for the community to come along, see the plans and ask questions. Throughout the construction stages, patients and staff were also regularly updated.

This new facility for the residents of Gosberton and the surrounding area includes five consulting rooms, for three doctors, a nurse practitioner and a registrar, two examination rooms, a dispensary and a minor injury room, as well as space for attached health staff including health visitors, midwives and nurses.

- Completed September 2008
